Out and About- Food

Food, food, food.  First, a few green drinks plus.
On the left we have a "refresher" : cranberry, elderflower, lemonade and soda along with a homemade lemonade with lots of mint.

On the right: Basil, pineapple, orange, apple, lemon juice.

On the left, basil, grapes, lemon, ginger ale. On the right ????
A duo of "super" drinks.
This is a super red and a super green. Super red is red dragon fruit, beetroot, pineapple, red apple. The super green is kale, green apple, cucumber, celery, mint.
I found an "instant hosting kit" at the grocery store. This nice set of cookies along with coffee and tea makes it easy to host my crafty group at the last minute.
We know we have mentioned the strange fascination with cheese here- grated, regular white cheddar-type cheese.  Just two options to ponder:

On the same day at the grocery, they had 4 different types of imported apples. I had to look them up to see which ones I would like. So I investigate by googling each one while in the grocery. Of this set, I think I chose the Envy apples.

The apples are above the sign in this one.
A friend brought me 6 tiny macaron cookies for helping her with a project. Yum!
Lastly, the drink with our name on it! We kid you not! I finally tried one the second time I saw these.
I selected the Nutella flavor.
What is this? There is Nutella flavored jello, sort of flaked with a fork in a sort of Nutella flavored milk. It tasted like chocolate milk.

Here is the first of its kind sighted here in 4 years: something actually labeled graham crackers. Found these at a new small mall near the apartment by the new plant.
They sort of tasted like graham crackers, but were sprinkled with large sugar crystals which was different.

But wait, there's more:
I had to photograph this while B was getting ice an iced tea.
Maybe it made sense in another language?

Out and About- Misc

We found a craft shop on a weekend trip to a mall about 1 hr from here. I managed to pick up a few packs of embroidery floss for a friend. Yay! Another crafty shop!
In August Idul Adha was celebrated here. It was during the Asian Games so there were far fewer animals around town.

Asian Games: a full month of traffic restrictions 7 days a week. Only odd or even plates could drive on a bunch of roads only on their respective dates ( odd or even). The restriction was in force from 6 am to 9 pm 7 days a week. Now they have extended it for another 6 weeks through another sporting event in mid-October. At least until the next event, the restrictions are lifted on the weekends.

What this means is that if  B has to be in town on an even day our car cannot leave the office building's parking garage because it sits on one of the restricted streets. The guys are trying to get rides from other guys with the correct license plates. It is extremely inconvenient to say the least.

Also, just before the start of the Asian Games, the building opposite our apartment building ( admittedly not that close) installed a GIANT, LED screen with more lumens than I thought possible. It reflects on the neighbor building and both bounce to fill our living room and alcove of the bedroom all night long.
And the lights are on all day long as well.
A street construction scene.
New construction has begun in half of the police station parking lot. I suspect a parking garage is being erected.  Sorry to see even just a few trees go!
And here's an update on the site seen from the living room. It's actually strange. They keep drilling big holes all night and most days long and keep moving steel plates around and moving surface soil around but so far that's it. It may be that they are sinking columns into the ground all over to stabilize the place but ??? They have a huge hole drilling machine but they keep covering them up and moving the equipment to another spot. The equipment moves about seemingly randomly.
Oh, oh, look what we found! Straight from New Albany, Ohio: White Barn candles.
And look what can happen when 2 seemingly intelligent adults are trapped in a car in traffic and one of them discovers this feature on her phone!
