The flowers in front of our apartment building seem to change with the season.
One day Pak Oky took a little longer than usual to pull up in front of the
lobby so I went wandering into the garden and took a few pictures.
I suspect the garden would look really
pretty lit only by moonlight, however, there are far too many lights to enjoy the garden in that way. Here are two flowers from the garden.
Also in the “white” category we have white strawberries. I don't think I've mentioned these before in the blog. These are from Japan. So expensive your fingers burn when you touch the package.
Not really, but these are sooooo expensive. Apparently they can sell for $6 US per
berry—and they are not very large. The flavor is supposed to be reminiscent of
a combination of strawberry and pineapple. I will just go on wondering. You buy a pack of 24 in this case. That would be only about $2.50 US each—a real bargain. As much as I'd like to try one, I can't get beyond the sticker price. Of course, I pay way more than $6 US for a bunch of celery here, and pay willingly. Celery is just expensive here. They sell less expensive local baby celery plants (or it's a plant similar to celery??) which tastes fine but are much more difficult to work with- especially getting them clean.
