Perth- Getting Around

The train station was close to our hotel so we hopped on the train to spots like Fremantle. Travel time varies according to the train's number of stops. Some trains stop at all stops between Perth and Fremantle. Some skip some stops so the ride is shorter but on average about 30 minutes on the train will get you to Fremantle. Nice trains. We used the train quite a few times.

There are free buses that run in loops in and around the central business district and we made use of those a couple of times including getting out to Kings Park. We hopped on a bus to Innaloo to visit a Spotlight Craft Store. (Spotlight is equivalent to a Michael's or Joann's in the US. We have managed to visit a few during our travels in Asia.) I really liked the upholstery on the bus- sea life themed.
