Today's mall and a gluten free burger billboard

A couple of shots of the 5-story mall we visited today. The mall was unusually crowded. The power went off briefly but didn't seem to phase anyone too much. B said that the power apparently went out the other night as he was leaving after a dinner meeting. Power loss is just a way of life here.

We also had lunch here at Spageddies (Italian) and observed a few rude patrons not being attended to by the staff as quickly as we were. Two different groups of people walked directly into the restaurant and sat themselves down at tables that had not been bussed. There was a young lady outside seating people but apparently they did not want to wait. From my vantage point, the wait staff was not very attentive to them. The woman in a trio of probably a husband, wife and child, kept getting up to try to get the table bussed, to get a waiter, to get their food. She was unbelieveably impatient.  Another couple changed tables on their own. We really haven't observed too much of this type of behavior here.

Had to take a picture of this on the way back to the Fraser. We were in pretty heavy traffic today so why not take a picture or two?  Haven't tried it. Wonder if the rice buns hold together?
